Microsoft announced that its Bing Search would get a much deeper social integration, just like the Google Search became more social, earlier this year.Microsoft is looking at Social Networking sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn to help give results that are recommended by a persons friends or family.Another feature that Bing is getting is the Instant Snapshot, which provides links to useful content, maps etc in a smaller window.
Bing seems to be heading in front of Google Search with the inclusion of Facebook and LinkedIn to their Social Integrated Search, whereas Google is still lacking with only the Google+ integration into search.
According to Microsoft, the changes in Bing Search Engine will be implemented in phases in the coming weeks.
Qi Lu, president of Microsoft’s Online Services Division, had this to say -
Microsoft seems to be hoping that Facebook would join its quest to bring down the utter dominance of Google in everything Internet, well if you anyone can do it, it would be a coalition of these two.
Google earlier on this year, got a lot of criticism for the fact that they did not include Facebook and Twitter Integration in their search engine.

Increasingly, the Web is about much more than simply finding information by navigating a topically organized graph of links, We’re evolving search in a way that recognizes new user paradigms like the growth of the social graph, and will empower people with the broad knowledge of the Web alongside the help of their friends.The New Bing Search is in Beta Phase of testing and hence is available only through registration here.The New Bing Search Engine layout is really useful, making use of the whole screen, unlike other search engines.The left-most part of the screen gives the best search results for our query.The Middle part gives the snapshot feature, which we discussed earlier.The right side bar has the most fascinating tool of the new Bing Search, Social Integration.It has “ask friends” to seek advice from friends on social networks, “friends who might know” to link search with interest of known friends, and “people who know” to show results from social networking sites.
